Scratch is a free, easy to use animation program for kids. Students can use Scratch to create their own animated stories, and teachers can use it to create animations that demonstrate things they are teaching in class. While Scratch has built in characters and backgrounds, you can import images you find elsewhere or create yourself using Paint.NET.
Many different types of movies can be made using Scratch, including interactive stories.
Here are some examples:
Bob and Job - A fantasy adventure
The pyramid - A game-story hybrid
The house - A choose your own adventure story
Fireman - animated comic (started out as a toondoo strip)
The Traveler - A choose your own adventure story
Pong - Play the classic arcade game Pong
